Meet Your Personal Chef … Valerie Azadian
Chef Val was born and raised in Fresno where she spent many days in both her grandmother’s kitchens. As a youngster she soaked up their love of cooking both traditional Armenian and down home Southern Style meals.
Valerie graduated with a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Fresno State University. Working in food service for many years, Val’s love for both business and cooking lead her to a position as the General Manager of The Downtown Club; a private, fine dining and banquet facility. She was employed there for more than 10 years. From there she became a Corporate Chef for Aetna Health Insurance Company preparing healthy options for over 600 employees daily.
Valerie loves cooking all types of food. She enjoys creating ethnic dishes; adding an organic, healthy and fresh approach. She specializes in soups, both hearty and healthy.
Chef Valerie’s pleasure is bringing organic seasonal meals from the farmers market to your table. From haute cuisine to perfectly prepared everyday meals, Chef Valerie’s zeal for delighting her friends, family and customers is evident in every bite!

“Eat It Up catered our Yosemite wedding (and rehearsal dinner) and we were very satisfied. I worked with Valerie to pick out a menu that would meet the dietary/budget constraints for us and our 40 guests. She was very flexible on what we could do and the food was excellent! Friends of ours are still mentioning the dishes they liked best. Valerie was also helpful in finding, planning, and providing other things we needed (tables, linens, cake) on top of the food and wait services. During the ceremony, a very unexpected rain threatened to ruin our outdoor table set up. We were not able to contact anyone at the cabin but Valerie and her assistants stopped their preparations to bring everything under cover and nothing was damaged.
There were very few options for low to mid price catering in that area for a wedding. I was very worried that we were going to have to hire a taco truck but instead we got exactly what we would have picked if we had no limits on cash.
